An Cosan Glas are travelling to Italy this weekend where they will hold workshops with young children and exhibit the sculptures from the various artists involved in An Cosan Glas over the years.

Last week saw the loading up of a truck full of sculptures in a blustery Donegal on its way for sunny Bologna in Central Italy. The sculptures will form part of a celebration of the regeneration of a village in rural Bologna not unlike the Gaeltacht area where Cosan Glas are based.

Creating beautiful sculptures with materials in the immediacy, the project generates a deep sense of communion with the natural environment and has had many successful years of attracting thousands of visitors to the area for the annual Loinnir Sculpture trail in Magheroarty beach.
